BARTLETT 2018 - 2019
Bartlett Panthers
enter the 2018-2019 season at the No. 2 spot in
the MemphisHoopers.com Top Ten Poll with a
senior oriented team notched at 13 seniors that
includes an addition of a high caliber player in
Antavion Collum. That early
preseason hype has turned into high expectations
for the panthers but compadres this group of
young men are for real Ten Fold!! TSSAA
Postseason advancement is definitely expected
who have all the potential in the world vying
for the gold ball in Murfreesboro, Tennessee
with the schools last TSSAA championship coming
in 2000.
Bartlett
with
a near record 13 seniors that have been together
since the ninth grade under Coach Dion Real, who
is one of the best x and o's coaches in the city
plus one of the better outside shooting teams at
the same time. Coach Real in his fourth year at
Bartlett, fifteen years overall in the mid south has
the school on a meteor rise with a solid freshman
class in the making as we speak. The talent in Memphis
coming up from the middle school section is some
of the best in 10+ years and Bartlett is primed
to garner on that opportunity.
Antavion Collum
Senior
Antavion Collum
(6'8 - 225 lbs., espn #,
Ole Miss commit)
one of the top premier players in the region who
has already committed to
Ole Miss
of the SEC.
Coach Real states, "Collum
is a very versatile player with a high
basketball IQ and a leader in the locker room".
Collum played last year at Tennessee
Prep Academy where he blew up after two
invisible years at Memphis East and will finish
his high school career at one of the best high
schools in the state Hands Down! His strong
sturdy body frame, size and hard work
ethic is definitely a plus for the panthers
overall heading into postseason tournament time.
Jalen Cincore
Another top senior
Jalen Cincore
(6'5 - 205 lbs., 24/7 #, Georgia
Southern commit)
who is the most athletic player on the ball club
and also plays above the rim on both sides of
the ball on all possessions in strong fashion. Mid
season injury has him down for a minuto but will
definitely be back for the second half of the
season in rare form to ready for postseason
advancement accordingly.
Sylvester Thompson
(5'10 - 170 lbs., 24/7 #,)
runs the floor as a point guard very good but
can also play as a combo guard with his solid
outside shooting to go along with his super
athletic ability at hand.
Jefferson Walker
Jefferson Walker
(6'0 - 170 lbs., 24/7 #,)
who Coach Real said, "is tough as nails in any
situation brought before him in very strong
fashion respectively".
Walker
has one of the best shots
in the city with unlimited range all over the
court plus solid decision making skills. Junior
Rodney Mason (6'5
- 220 lbs.)
one of two juniors on the team, who is also one
of the top juniors in the state that starts all
ball games and who possesses a high basketball I.Q.
Mason
can do a little of
everything on both sides of the ball in
physical array.
Another
senior on this history making
panthers is
senior
Takori Rooks (6'6
- 220 lbs.)
who plays like a big man and might be under sized but
this young man has great footwork with a work horse
mentality.
Senior
Wynne Brown
(5'7 - 160 lbs.)
is another
high energy player who is silky smooth at the point
guard position with cat quick speed for real Ten Fold.
Brown
who is an lock down defender and probably the best
defender on the ball club full of solid defenders
overall. Juniors
Jaylin Lucas
(6'6 - 195 lbs.)
Bartlett Panthers
will start off the season with two Hall of Fame
Games with one Nov. 15 at Ridgeway
and hosting Camden Central Nov. 17. During
Thanksgiving they will travel across the bridge
to the Rumble on the Ridge in Forrest City,
Arkansas and play Shiloh out of Louisiana. In
the Ultimate Challenge at Bartlett High School,
Bartlett will play Hamilton Heights out of
Chattanooga Dec. 14 and Springdale Prep out of
Maryland. They participate in the annual
Stagecoach Classic Dec. 27-29, 2018 which is
held at Bartlett also. Schools in attendance are
Desoto Central, St. Benedict, Houston, Melrose,
Wynn, Arkansas, Sheffield and Memphis Night
Hawks.

new year in the Hoop Fest at
Briarcrest High School with a Jan. 4, 2019
matchup against Meadow Creek out of Georgia,
Jan.
5 they play vs. Olive Branch. They finish their
